Sisters, Michele Cadaret and Angela Jones will co-own and co-direct Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center. Both Angela and Michele have been teaching in the public schools for several years and are familiar with the Michigan Curricular Framework and its resources. Angela and Michele’s parents (Jim and Carol Andrikides) have been small business owners for 35 years and have shared management skills with both Angela and Michele, both of whom worked for their parents at times during high school and college.
Angela currently holds a Michigan teaching certificate for English grades K-12 and Elementary Education grades K-8 and holds a degree in Early Childhood Education. She student taught for one year in first grade followed by eight years of Kindergarten and then another year teaching first grade. In Angela’s first year of teaching she was awarded the Sallie Mae First Year Teacher of The Year award. Angela’s kindergarten classes consisted of two classes containing approximately 25 students. Her Language Arts program was structured in a way that her kindergarten students were emergent readers by December of the school year. Angela was on the technology curriculum development committee for the district that she worked for and was a technology site leader for her building. Her duties included helping all staff members with computer and other technological difficulties. Angela also trained through Oakland County Community Schools to direct a conflict resolution program to fourth and fifth graders. She trained these students to resolve conflicts that other students in the building needed mediated. Angela has attended several conferences for education and technology in the Michigan area. She chaired the Shared Involvement Committee, which partners teachers and parents in school improvement and National Accreditation projects. Angela meets the requirements for Michigan Framework of Exemplary Teachers and is trained in MLPP. Prior to becoming an Elementary school teacher Angela worked at several preschools while attending Western Michigan University. Angela is married and the mother of a lively 7 year old son.
Michele currently holds a Michigan teaching certificate from Western Michigan University in the areas of Math, Science, Elementary Education, and Art K-8. She has taught at both the middle school and elementary level. Michele was hired as a reading teacher at Dolsen Elementary. Michele then moved into the classroom and taught first grade for six years before moving on to the child care profession. While teaching, Michele was nominated for teacher of the year for Oakland Schools. She was a very active participant on school committees. Michele led a curriculum-composing committee where she wrote and oversaw the first grade Social Studies curriculum for the entire district. Michele also chaired the school’s North Central writing committee. She was a member of the school’s Shared Improvement Committee and a member of the conflict resolution committee for one year. Michele’s educational background meets the Michigan Framework of Exemplary Teachers. She is trained in MLPP and leads the district in first grade reading proficiency. Prior to teaching. Michele worked in two preschools. Michele is the mother of two beautiful daughters 9 and 5.
