Picture day is approaching fast, September 12 and 13th for Waterford and September 17th at 8:30 am for Canton. We know what a struggle it can be to get the perfect picture of your child. In addition, getting them to sit still or actually smile can be a choir as well. So to help out, we have composed a few tips, to help make your child’s picture day a huge success.
Picture Day Tips
The first tip is to provide a little guidance on what your child wears that day. Sure you want them to express themselves but a little guidance to a more simple look. A basic comfortable look always can help a child relax some and produce better pictures. The second tip is to practice smiling with your child. This may sound odd, but a more natural smile always look better in a picture than a forced fake one.
The third tip is actually for the parents, stay home that day. Having the parent there can add unneeded stress to the child and the photographer. Trust the photographer to get the best pictures for your child. Another great tip is to let them know what to expect on picture day. Go through how the whole process is handled and what they will need to do so no surprises occur during their shoot.
Of course, there are always unforeseen circumstances such as illness or emergencies. So make sure to know if you can reschedule or where else you can have the pictures done if you can not make it.

Other than picture day on September 17th there are a couple of other events to be aware of for the month of September.
